Lawler Named To MASCAC All-Conference Team

Fitchburg, Mass. native earns All-Conference second team honors

FITCHBURG, Mass. (February 28, 2012) – Fitchburg State junior Trevor Lawler (Fitchburg, Mass./New England Jr. Huskies) was recently named to the MASCAC Ice Hockey All-Conference second team as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

Lawler, a three-year member of the Fitchburg State ice hockey team, earns his first career All-Conference nomination after leading the Falcons in scoring during the 2011-12 season. The junior forward ranked first on the squad with 27 points, totaling 11 goals and 16 assists, while adding two power play tallies, a game-winning marker and one game-tying score.

Over his career, Lawler has been strong upfront for the Falcons, totaling 65 points (26 goals, 39 assists) over 80 career games. In a strong sophomore season, Lawler registered 22 points on a very potent Fitchburg State offense.
