Two Teams Set To Open Post Season Play On Tuesday
Men's Soccer & Women's Soccer start playoff run
Fitchburg, Mass. – The Fitchburg State University men's soccer team and women's soccer teams will start their run towards a potential bid into the NCAA Division III National Championship tournament in their respective sports on Tuesday.
The Fitchburg State men's soccer team captured the third seed in the 2019 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Soccer post-season tournament after concluding the season with an overall record of 7-9-2 and a 3-3-1 mark within conference play and will host sixth seeded Bridgewater State University on Tuesday for a contest starting at 7:00 PM. The Fitchburg State women's soccer team finished the 2019 season with an overall record of 5-12 and a 2-5 mark in conference play en-route to the sixth seed in the upcoming 2019 MASCAC Women's Soccer post-season tournament and will travel to third seeded Worcester State on Tuesday t for a contest starting at 1:00 PM.
