Jamie Wyeth - 2003 Inductee

In the storied history of Fitchburg State College men's track and field, few can boast the accomplishments of Jamie Wyeth. He earned All-American status an amazing six times, highlighted by a second place finish his senior year in the 400 meter dash at the NCAA Indoor Championships. His time of 48.66 seconds is still in the top ten all-time in Division III.

During his freshman campaign Jamie earned his first All-New England honor with a third place finish in the 1986 outdoor Division III 400 meter dash. His sophomore season saw him take the Division III 400 meter crown and finish an impressive third in the All-New England meet. Jamie earned his first All-American award by competing on the 4x100 meter relay team. During his junior season, Wyeth notched a pair of All-American accolades for his role on the indoor and outdoor 4x400 meter relay teams. The indoor squad set the NCAA record at the championship meet.

Jamie's senior season of 1988 was more of the same. In addition to his second place finish at the NCAA Indoor Meet, Jamie was the New England outdoor champion in the 400 meter dash and a member of the All-American 4x400 meter relay team. He was also a four-year member of the tennis team, ran cross country in 1988 and played on the soccer team in 1989.
