Jason Cullinane - 2006 Inductee - 1993 Graduate

As the College's most decorated athletic program, track and field now boasts 20 members in the Hall of Fame with the addition of Jason Cullinane ‘93. As one of three alumni who have participated in the Olympic Trials (steeplechase, 1996), Jason excelled both locally and on a national stage.

He was named a US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All?]American in 1991, 1992 and 1993. Those same three years Jason won the New England Division III 3000 meter steeplechase. He also captured the 5000 meter title in 1992 and 1993 and the holds the Fitchburg State College record in the 3000 meter steeplechase. He was the MASCAC champion all four years he attended FSC.

A communications media graduate, Jason combined his graphics design degree and his passion for running to publish a runners log, LogbookONE, The Log for Runners, Joggers and Walkers. He hopes that his training log will reach not only athletes but also regular people interested in keeping track of their exercise.

A resident of Redwood City, California, Jason is a Captain in the Army where he is currently Psychological Operations planning officer. Jason cannot attend the Hall of Fame induction ceremony this year because his Special Operations unit is currently on tour with Special Forces as well as the 10th Mountain Division and the 82nd Airborne Division in Afghanistan.
