Malane (Perry) Dodge - 2006 Inductee - 1994 Graduate

One of the most prolific rebounders in NCAA history, Malane (Perry) Dodge ‘94 is being inducted into the Fitchburg State College Hall of Fame for her basketball prowess.

Malane is listed in the official NCAA Women's Basketball Records Book twice, a distinction no other Fitchburg State College grad can claim. On February 8, 1992, she collected 35 rebounds against Worcester State, which ranks her second all?]time in NCAA Division III play for single game rebounding. She is also ranked 14th all?]time for rebounds in an individual season, grabbing 443 in 25 games in 1992.

At Fitchburg State, she ranks third all?]time in scoring as one of only four female athletes to surpass 1,000 points. She holds the FSC single game record for points (37) and rebounds (35). She has the single season record for scoring (621) and rebounding (443). What's more amazing is that she accomplished all this in only two seasons at FSC.

After graduating in 1994 with a degree in Special Education and Elementary Education, Malane began teaching in the Narragansett School District. She completed her master's in education at Lesley University, and is currently teaching fifth grade at Narragansett Middle School.

Malane and her husband Kevin live in Orange, Massachusetts, with four?]year old twins Skylar and Logan and twelve?]year?]old Dillon.
