Mickey Natoli

 

2022 Inductee - 1981 Graduate 

Mickey Natoli was a member of the Fitchburg State baseball and men's basketball teams. In baseball, Mickey batted .285 (26-for-91) with 16 runs scored, seven doubles, 18 RBI, 11 walks and two stolen bases. In the sport of basketball, Natoli was a 1000 point scorer, while ranking ninth in program history in free-throws made with 270 and fifth in rebounds at 566. In addition, Mickey concluded his career with 1,075 points on 291-of-669 shooting from the field over 76 games for the Green and Gold, while also earning MASCAC All-Conference Honors during his senior season.

Upon graduating, Mickey accepted a teaching job at the Woodbury Middle School in Salem, N.H., where he taught technology education/engineering and robotics for 41 years. He also coached cross country for 41 years, track and field for 36 years and basketball for 12 years.

Mickey married Patricia Brennan '81. They have been married for 37 years and have three children, a son Brennan and two daughters, Brianna and Brayla and a granddaughter. He has coached youth sports and Special Olympics for several years. Now that he is retired, Natoli is devoting more time to being an advocate and mentor for parents with children that have developmental and other disabilities.
