Stephen Sullivan - 2001 Inductee

A two-time All-ECAC selection, Stephen Sullivan is one of the few athletes in school history that played on a championship squad (ice hockey) in all four seasons. As a freshman in 1987-88, Sullivan was the third-leading scorer (21 goals, 28 assists, 49 points) for the 22-6-1, ECAC North-Champion Falcons. Sullivan earned All-MASCAC honors a year later, as he scored 51 points (17 goals, 34 assists) for the 18-10 MASCAC Tri-Champions.

Fitchburg State won its first-ever ECAC North-South Championship in 1989-90, with much of the credit for the team's success going to Sullivan. The forward scored 25 goals and tacked on 34 assists for the 21-7, coach Dean Fuller-led squad. The ECAC North Co-Player of the Year was named the MVP of the North-South Championship game after scoring a hat trick in the Wallace Civic Center. His career concluded in 1990-91, when the 21-5 Falcons won their third ECAC North title in four years. The team's leading scorer (25-30-55) was a First Team All-ECAC and All-MASCAC selection, scoring seven power-play goals and two game-winning goals along the way.

His total of 109 games played is currently fifth in school history, and his career point total (86-118-204) ranks fourth. A three-time All-MASCAC selection, Sullivan also ranks in the top five in five other categories (plus-minus/second; assists/fourth; goals/fifth; penalty minutes/fifth; power-play goals/fourth).
