Locker Rooms

The Wallace Civic Center at Fitchburg State University opened in 1970 and served as the training home of the Boston Bruins. Four years ago, Fitchburg State University purchased the Civic Center, which sits on the University campus from the city of Fitchburg. Since the purchase, the Wallace Civic Center at Fitchburg State University has received more than 3 million dollars in upgrades and renovations that has transformed the facility into one of the top Division III collegiate rinks in New England. Upgrades include:

  • New roof, refrigeration unit, and humidification system
  • New boards and seamless glass
  • New State-of-the-Art Fitchburg State locker room
  • New digital outdoor sign
  • New arena lighting and
    Low-E ceiling
  • New arena sound system
  • New heated lobby area
  • New flooring and green and gold paint throughout arena
  • State-of-the-Art ice chilling system

The Falcon locker room underwent a complete transformation in summer 2008 making it one the finest locker rooms in all of New England DIII ice hockey. The entire 1300 square foot area was demolished and re-built. A new team room, complete with new prostyle stalls was added. The new locker room also includes:

  • On-Site Laundry Facility
  • Equipment Room with game-time Skate Sharpener
  • Private Showers
  • Power Edit Video Analysis
