Littman Named as MASCAC Player of the Week

WESTFIELD, Mass. - Fitchburg State sophomore catcher Nathan Littman (Abington, Mass.) has been named as the Massachusetts Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Player of the Week for the period ending on May 1, 2016.

Littman batted. 529 (9-17) with three doubles, six RBI and five runs scored with a .706 slugging percentage in a 3-2 week for the Falcons. He went 6-for-10 with three triples, two RBI and two runs scored in a doubleheader sweep of Worcester State, and 3-for-7 with four RBI and a run scored in a doubleheader split with Salem State.

The Falcons finished the regular season with a 10-4 record in league play, securing the #3 seed in the MASCAC tournament. Fitchburg State will host #6 Framingham State on day one of tourney play this Thursday at 3:00 p.m.
