Lozada Earns ECAC Division III New England Second Team Honors

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its 2016 Division III New England Baseball All-ECAC Selections and major award winners. Fitchburg State University senior pitcher/outfielder Javier Lozada (New Bedford, Mass.) was named as a Second Team All-Star as a utility player.

On the mound, Lozada appeared in 11 games, starting in nine. He posted a 4-2 record with a 4.03 ERA as the squad's #2 starter. Over 51 1/3 innings, Lozada allowed 58 hits, 21 walks, and 23 earned runs, while striking out 39. At the plate, he batted .463 (19-for-41) with one homer, six RBI, 11 runs scored, and eight steals in eight attempts.
