Towle Named MASCAC Baseball Rookie Of The Week

Westfield, Mass. native collects second weekly accolade of the season
 
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman pitcher Ryan Towle (Westfield, Mass.) was selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
 
The first-year hurler collects his second weekly honor on the year after posting an ERA of 0.00 with a complete-game one-hit shutout with 15 strikeouts in a 9-0 game two victory over Hamilton College on Thursday to improve to 3-0 on the season.
 
The Fitchburg State baseball team (5-4, 0-0 MASCAC) returns to action on Wednesday as it travels to Dean College of a contest starting at 3:30 PM.​
