Falcons Name Five To MASCAC Baseball All-Conference Teams

Cordeau, Eramo, Macomber, Parsons & Barnaby collect MASCAC honors

FITCHBURG, Mass. – The Fitchburg State baseball team named five members to the 2019 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) All-Conference Teams as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.

Sophomore Nicholas Cordeau (Melrose, Mass.) and junior Joshua Macomber (Berkley, Mass.) were selected to the MASCAC All-Conference First Team, while freshman Vincent Eramo (Shirley, Mass.) and senior Tommy Parsons (Peabody, Mass.) earned MASCAC All-Conference Second Team honors. In addition, head coach Kevin Barnaby was named MASCAC Baseball Coach of the Year as voted on by the league's eight coaches.

Cordeau picks up his second MASCAC All-Conference honor after posting a .381 batting average with 59 hits, eight doubles, four triples, eight home runs, 46 runs scored, 41 RBI and 19 steals, while Macomber earns his first MASCAC All-Conference accolade after hitting .325 (49-for-151), including four doubles, one triple, three home runs, 29 RBI, 33 runs scored and 15 stolen bases in 41 games for the Green and Gold.

On the second team, Eramo collected his first All-Conference selection, batting .325 with 41 hits, eight doubles, one triple, three home runs, 28 runs scored, 34 RBI and four stolen bases, while Parsons received his first All-Conference nod after posting an ERA of 2.11 with 62 strikeouts over 47 innings pitched, en-route to an overall record of 6-1.

Rounding out the MASCAC All-Conference Honors for the Fitchburg State baseball team was Barnaby, who guided the Falcons to a program best 26 wins over the 2019 season, en-route to the second seed in the 2019 MASCAC Baseball Post-Season Tournament.

The Fitchburg State University Baseball team recently concluded its 2019 campaign with an overall record of 26-16 and a 13-8 clip in conference play.
