Falcons Outlast Lynx in Non-Conference Action
Fitchburg, Mass. – The Fitchburg State University baseball team notched a 6-4 win over the Lynx of Lesley University in non-conference action today at Riccards Field.

How It Happened
In the top of the third inning, Lesley took a 1-0 lead on a sacrifice fly from freshman Matthew Ceruti (Northbridge, Mass.) and added another run in the second to hold a 2-0 lead.
Fitchburg State battled back in the bottom of the inning. With the based juiced with Falcons Connor Morehouse (Wetherby Lake, MO), the reigning MASCAC Player of the Week, belted a two-run single to right field, and Vincent Eramo (Shirley, Mass.) followed with a triple to right-center to give the Green and Gold a 3-2 lead. The hosts would plate two more runs to extend the lead to 5-2 after three complete.
Trailing 6-2, Lesley knocked across two runs in the top of the seventh inning with RBIs from James Brandon (Manhattan Beach, CA) and Ronnie James (Scranton, PA). Freshman Jovanni Merced (Springfield, Mass.) pitched a clean ninth inning for Fitchburg State to pick up the save.
