Eramo Tabbed MASCAC Baseball Player Of The Week
Shirley, Mass. native registers second weekly honor on the season
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Vincent Eramo (Shirley, Mass.) was selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday.
The fifth-year Falcon batted .500 (10-20) with three home runs , five runs scored, ten RBI and three walks in a 3-2 week for the Green and Gold. Eramo hit a combined 4-for-6 with a home run, one run scored, three walks and two RBI in a double header split with Worcester State on Tuesday before adding one hit, including a home run, one run scored and two RBI in a 14-9 triumph over MCLA on Thursday.
Vinny concluded the week, hitting 5-of-6 with three runs scored, one home run and six RBI in a 15-4, game two victory over MCLA on Friday, while setting the Falcons all-time program record for RBI's in a career with 119 in the process.
The Fitchburg State Baseball Team (17-16, 8-10 MASCAC) returns to action on Friday as they travel to Framingham State to take on the Rams in a conference matchup, starting at 3:00PM.
