Brown-Simpson To Represent Fitchburg State At 2018 Globe Bowl

Lynn, Mass. native to play in Future Pro Football Stars Game on April 7th

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior running back Jevon Brown-Simpson (Lynn, Mass.) will represent the Green and Gold at the 2018 Globe Bowl, played at Germantown Academy's Carey Stadium in Fort Washington, Penn. on Saturday, April 7th with kickoff slated for 2:00 PM.

The senior tailback finished his 2017 season with a team best 857 yards rushing on 196 attempts and seven touchdowns, while also grabbing in 13 passes for 74 yards in ten games for the Green and Gold.

The Globe Bowl creates an exciting scouting opportunity for top level talent from many NCAA member schools & pro level talent ranging anywhere from pro arena players to pro developmental talents.

The Globe Games weekend kicks off with 85 top athletes at the "National Pro Day" Combine Wednesday April 4, 2018 at 8am hosted at Widener University's football stadium named after Leslie C. Quick Jr. which expects 6 pro teams on hand scouting from the Canadian Football League's (CFL) Montreal Alouettes, and local pro arena teams such as the Philadelphia Soul (AFL), Lehigh Valley Steelhawks (NAL), Jersey Flight (Trenton), overseas pro scouts, and more. Team America will then practice at Widener University leading to it's match vs the Canada All-stars April 7th at Germantown Academy's Carey Stadium. Widener University is a perfect location for the National Pro Day states Director Michael Quartey Esq. "Widener's Head Football Coach Mike Kelly was a legendary CFL & Pro Coach and so it was a great fit bringing our combine to Chester."

All events are open to the public and Globe bowl tickets can be purchased for $10 the day of the game April 7th at Germantown Academy as gates open at 1:15pm. The Globe Bowl & National Pro Day Bowl is presented by East Preps which has been rated by as a top 10 sports management firm. The Globe Bowl has partnered with the Valley Forge Sports Commission to assist in bringing the event to the Valley Forge and Montgomery County greater Philadelphia area.

Team America is Head Coached by former New York Giants Coach of the week Jim Collins and also features Pro Coach Lori Locust of the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks recently honored in Orlando by the NFL as a top 50 women's football coach from around the world. The Canada All-Stars is presented by MIFA football and is based out of Toronto, Canada whose program is organized by Liston Bates of Mississauga.

In 2019, Team America will give back by launching America Prep in the Philadelphia area to give post high school graduate football players an opportunity to further their careers academically and athletically playing a college level schedule.

The Fitchburg State football team concluded the 2017 season with an overall record of 3-7 and a 2-6 clip in the MASCAC.
