MASCAC Football All-Conference Teams Announced

Lawton and Jamison named to MASCAC All-Conference Second Team 

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Two members of the Fitchburg State University football team collected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) post-season accolades as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.

Senior offensive lineman William Jamison (Quincy, Mass.) and sophomore running back Steven Lawton (Ayer, Mass.) were both named to the 2019 MASCAC football All-Conference Second Team.

Jamison earns his first career All-Conference honor after anchoring a Falcons offensive that averaged 228.6 yards of total offense, including 105.0 yards on the ground and 123.6 yards through the air.

Joining Jamison on the MASCAC All-Conference Second team was Lawton, who also collects his first All-Conference accolade, finishing with a team-leading 637 rushing yards on 145 carries and a pair of touchdowns as well as hauling in three passes for 19 yards over ten games for the Green and Gold.

The Fitchburg State football team recently concluded its 2019 campaign with an overall record of 2-8 and a 1-7 mark in conference play.
