Gladu Selected LEC Field Hockey Defensive Player Of The Week

North Reading, Mass. native nets first weekly honor of the season

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State sophomore forward Chloe Gladu (North Reading, Mass./North Reading) was recently tabbed Little East Conference (LEC) Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The second-year Falcon notched one defensive save in Fitchburg State's 3-0 shutout victory over UMass Dartmouth on Saturday morning to help anchor a Falcon defense that limited opponents to a minimal 0.67 goals per contest in a 3-0 week for the Green and Gold.

The Fitchburg State field hockey team (7-4, 3-2 LEC) returns to action on Tuesday evening as it travels to Castleton University for a contest starting at 7:00 PM.
