Bryant stops seven shots in LEC setback
Keene, N.H.. – The Fitchburg State University field hockey team dropped a 3-0 decision to the Owls of Keene State College this evening at Alumni Field in Little East Conference (LEC action.

How It Happened
Keene State opened the scoring just 1:15 in the contest as sophomore Nina Bruno (Agawam, Mass./Agawam) deposited a shot inside the far post for her team-leading 22nd score of the season for the 1-0 lead.
The Owls doubled their lead in the tenth minute of play when Bruno collected a feed from junior Ally McCall (Watertown, Mass./Watertown) and found the back of the cage for her second goal of the contest for the 2-0 margin going into the break.
Following the intermission, Keene State extended its margin at the 46:15 mark as sophomore Kayla Klein (West Brookfield, Mass./Quaboag Regional) received a pass from McCall and connected on her 20th goal on the year, resulting in the 3-0 final.
Inside the Numbers
This evening's contest marked the 33rd meeting between the two teams in the sport of field hockey with the Falcons currently 6-27-0 all-time when taking on the Owls.
Keene State has won the last 15 matchups with Fitchburg State, including a 1-0 decision last season at Elliot Field.
In the cage, freshman Abby Bryant (Ware, Mass./Qaubbin Regional) made seven saves for the Falcons in the complete game effort, while sophomore Rachel Loseby (Hartford, Vt./Hartford) stopped two shots for the Owls in the victory.
Junior Aislinn DeHorsey (Leominster, Mass./Leominster) finished the contest with a team-best two shots in the contest for Fitchburg State.
Keene State held a 19-4 margin in shots, while also holding a slim 8-5 advantage in penalty corners.

Falcons will travel to Western Connecticut State on Saturday to take on the Colonials for an LEC tilt, starting at 11:00 AM. Owls will visit Williams College on Thursday for a non-conference clash as 6:00 PM.
