How It Happened

Fitchburg State opened the scoring at the 8:12 mark of the first period as sophomore Autumn Tibbetts (Lunenburg, MA) received a feed from junior Alexis Raymond (Tewksbury, MA) and deposited a shot inside the right corner for her team-leading seventh score of the season for the 1-0 margin.

Salem State knotted the score at 1-1 in the 17th minute of action when senior Kaia Hollingsworth (Methuen, MA) found the back of the cage for her third goal on the year off an assist from classmate Melanie Mason (Beverly, MA).

The Vikings grabbed the lead with three and half minutex left in the first half with Hollingsworth connecting on her second mark of the contest for the 2-1 edge.

Following the intermission, the Falcons retied the contest (2-2) with Tibbett notching her second score on the evening in the 39th minute of action.
