Tracy Selected MASCAC Men’s Basketball Player Of The Week

Indianapolis, Ind. native earns first weekly accolade of the season

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior guard Nicholas Tracy (Indianapolis, Ind.) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The third-year Falcon collects his first weekly honor on the year after averaging 22 points, 8.7 rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block, while shooting 58.3% from the field over three games for the Green and Gold.

Tracy posted 24 points, seven rebounds, two assists and one steal in a 94-81 setback to Rhode Island College on Tuesday before adding a double-double of 24 points and 13 caroms as well as three assists, three steals and two blocks in a 93-87 overtime victory against Thomas College on Friday evening.

Nicholas concluded the week, netting 18 points, six rebounds, one assist, two steals and one blocked shot in an 84-62 loss to Amherst College on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State men's basketball team (4-2, 0-0 MASCAC) returns to action this evening as it hosts the Hawks of Becker College for a non-conference tilt, starting at 6:00 PM.
