Men's Basketball Fall to Anchorman in Season Opener
FITCHBURG, MA: Fitchburg State men's basketball fell in their season opener this evening to Rhode Island College in non-conference action.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Anchorman led for the majority of the contest, never able to extend their lead. The Falcons kept RIC close, but a big second half and two impressive outings for the visiting team helped lift them over Fitchburg.
- Ousmane Kourouma and Deyshawn Tengbeh finished the game with double-doubles. Kourouma topped the game with 17 rebounds and 15 points. Tengbeh had 11 rebounds of his own to go with his game-high 21 points.
- The Falcons were led by the two returners from a season ago. Frederick Siayor (Worcester, MA) and Javon Taylor (Cambridge, MA). Siayor topped the team in points with 20 on 6-for-25 shooting and just 1-of-12 from behind the arc. Taylor was 4-for-14 and 2-of-7 from three-point territory, giving him his 15 points along with a team-high nine rebounds.
