Men's Basketball Fall Short to Rams

FRAMINGHAM, MA: Fitchburg State men's basketball finished the regular season with a loss to Framingham State in MASCAC action. With the loss, the Falcons earn a 6th seed going into the tournament after having a higher strength of schedule over Framingham.  

THE BASICS:

- Records: Framingham (6-19, 1-11 MASCAC), Fitchburg (3-22, 1-11 MASCAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  Kyle Philistin lifted the Rams over the Falcons with a 19-point performance this afternoon. He was followed by Joshua Saint Jean, who had a double-double of 13 points and 14 rebounds. Adonis Vashon also contributed to the victory with 14 points and four rebounds while coming off the bench.

Braeden White (Spencer, MA), Matthew Drayton (Boston, MA), and Javon Taylor (Cambridge, MA) did their best to finish the season with a win but couldn't quite get there. White topped the team with 16 points to go along with four steals and four assists. Drayton added 14 points from off the bench. Taylor had 12 points while topping the team in rebounds with seven.   

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Shooting: The Rams shot 41.2% from the floor, 42.1% from three, and 70% from the line. The Falcons shot 40.7% from the floor, 30.8% from three, and 78.9% from the line.

-  Rebounds: Framingham 44, Fitchburg 27

-  Assists: Framingham 14, Fitchburg 7
