Titus Manderson (Head Coach; Tenth Season 104-136)

Titus enters his tenth season as head coach of the Fitchburg State men's basketball team in 2023-24

This past season, Titus guided the Falcons to an overall record of 10-16 and a 4-8 mark in conference play, en-route to securing the fifth seed in the MASCAC Men's Basketball post-season tournament. During the season, Manderson collected his 100th career coaching victory with a 76-56 triumph over MCLA on January 7, 2023.

During the 2019-20, Manderson became the Falcons all-time career leader in coaching victories with 87 wins, surpassing the previous mark of 79, held by former Falcon men's basketball head coach Bon Bonci. Titus led Fitchburg State to an overall record of 9-17 and a 3-9 clip in conference play, en-route to earning the sixth seed in the 2019-20 MASCAC Men's Basketball post-season tournament

Coach Titus Manderson guided the Green and Gold to the third seed into the MASCAC post-season tournament after concluding the season with a overall record of 13-14 and a 7-5 clip in conference play.

Titus led the Falcons to the fourth seed in the 2017-18 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) post-season tournament.

In 2016-17, Coach Manderson led the Green and Gold to their second straight MASCAC regular season title, en-route to garnering the number one into the MASCAC Men's Basketball post-season tournament.

During The 2015-16 campaign, Manderson guided the Falcons to their second Massachusetts State Collegiate Atheltic Conference (MASCAC) post season tournament title after earning a share of the 2015-16 MASCAC regular season title. During the 2015-16 season, Titus also guided the Green and Gold to its first ever NCAA DIII tournament victory with an 84-81 victory over Plattsburgh State in opening round action of the 2015-16 NCAA DIII Men's Basketball Tournament.

Manderson joined the Fitchburg State sidelines after spending nearly ten seasons with MASCAC rival, Salem State University as both an assistant coach and associate head coach. During his time with the Vikings, Manderson guided Salem State to eight MASCAC league titles and two NCAA Final Four appearances. In addition, Manderson mentored a pair of All-American selections, while mentoring six MASCAC Players of the Year.

Prior to his collegiate coaching debut, Manderson also served has head coach of the Saugus High School boy's basketball team from 2004 to 2008. Over his five season, Manderson guided Saugus to two state tournament appearances, a feat that hadn't occured since 1991. 

Before joining the sidelines, Manderson witnessed a decorated playing career for Salem State from 1996-1997. He led the Vikings to both a Northeast Regional and Division III Sweet Sixteen appearance during the 1996 and 1997 seasons, and also served as captain of the squad during his senior campaign. For his efforts, he collected New England Senior All-Star and MASCAC All-League accolads, in addition to AT&T National Long Distance Shooter honors.

Manderson graduated from Salem State University with a Bachelor of Science in Fitness and currently holds a of Masters degree in Coaching/Physical Education from Boston University. In addition, he is pursuing his second Masters degree in Athletic Administration from Endicott College. 

Throughout his six season at Fitchburg State, Manderson has posted an overall record of 78-85. With those 78 win, Titus currently ranks second all-time in career wins.

Manderson currenlty resides in Saugus, Mass.
