Vicario Selected MASCAC Ice Hockey Player Of The Week

Cranston, R.I. native collects first week accolade on the year

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Sophomore forward Christopher Vicario (Cranston, R.I.) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The second year forward picks up his first weekly honor of the season after totaling four points on one goal and three assists in a 2-0 week for the Green and Gold. Vicario netted one marker in a 6-3 win over UMass Dartmouth on Thursday before chipping in with a trio of helpers in a 7-5 triumph over the 15th ranked Panthers of Plymouth State on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State ice hockey team (12-6-3, 7-4-3 MASCAC) returns to action on Saturday as it hosts the Rams of Framingham State University for a contest starting at 5:00 P.M.
