Saari Tabbed MASCAC Ice Hockey Goaltender Of The Week

Cape Elizabeth, Maine native earns second weekly accolade on the year

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Junior goaltender Kirby Saari (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Goaltender of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The third-year Falcon earns his second weekly honor on the year after stopping 40 of the 42 shots he faced with a 2.00 goals against average and a .952 save percentage in a 3-2 win over the Vikings of Salem State University on Thursday evening.

The Fitchburg State ice hockey team (15-6-3, 10-4-3 MASCAC) returns to action on Tuesday as is hosts the Lancers of Worcester State for a contest starting at 7:00 P.M.
