Pacini Tabbed MASCAC Player of the Week

Stoneham, Mass. native collects first career weekly honor

FITCHBURG, Mass. (November 2, 2010) – Fitchburg State senior Robbie Pacini (Stoneham, Mass./Stoneham) was tabbed the MASCAC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.

Pacini collects his first career weekly honor after leading Fitchburg State to a 1-2 week. The senior midfielder etched his name in the NCAA Division III record books with a five goal, one assist performance vs. Rivier College. Pacini became the fastest player to record four consecutive goals in a period, topping the previous record of 5:26 set by Patrick Floeck’s (Trinity – Texas) in 2008. In the 8-1 victory over the Raiders, Pacini notched four goals in a span of 3:46, cruising to an 11 point effort in the contest.

This season, Pacini finished second in scoring among all Fitchburg State players, posting 15 points on seven goals and one assist. Over his four-year career, Pacini appeared in 65 career games, totaling 31 career points on 13 goals and five assists. He tallied two game-winning markers throughout his time, including the game-winning score vs. Rivier this season.

The Fitchburg State men’s soccer team concluded its 2010 campaign with an overall record of 4-13-0 and a 1-6-0 clip in the MASCAC.
