Martinez Collects MASCAC All-Conference Honors
Middlesex, N.J. native named to All Conference second team
FITCHBURG, Mass. – The Fitchburg State men's soccer team earned All-Conference honors earlier today as junior midfielder Steven Martinez was named to the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) All-Conference second team as announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.
The third-year Falcon earned his second all-conference selection after posting two points on a pair of assists, while starting all 17 contests for the Green and Gold from the midfield this season, while aiding a Fitchburg State defense that held opponents to 2.5 goals per game.
The Fitchburg State men's soccer team recently concluded its 2015 season with an overall record of 6-11-0 and a 2-5-0 clip in the MASCAC.
