Amaral Selected MASCAC Men’s Indoor Track Athlete Of The Week
Tewksbury, Mass. native picks up second weekly accolade of the season
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Senior Brian Amaral (Tewksbury, Mass.) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
The fourth-year Falcon collects his second weekly honor of the year after placing ninth overall in the 3,000 meter with a DIII New England qualifying time of 8:45.55 for the Green and Gold at the 48th annual Dartmouth Relays on Sunday afternoon. With his time over the weekend, Brian currently ranks sixth nationally in the event.
The Fitchburg State men's indoor track team returns to action this weekend as it travels to Brandeis University for a meet starting at 11:00 A.M.
