McWhinnie-Armstead Selected MASCAC Men’s Indoor Track Rookie Of The Week

Lowell, Mass. native collects second weekly accolade of the year

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Freshman Christian McWhinnie-Armstead (Lowell, Mass.) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Indoor Track Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The first-year Falcon earns his first weekly honor on the season after placing second overall in the high jump with a DIII New England qualifying mark of 1.95 meters for the Green and Gold at the 2018 Greater Boston Track Club Invite, hosted by Harvard University on Sunday.

The Fitchburg State men's indoor track team returns to action this weekend as it competes at both Boston University and Tufts University on Saturday, January 27th.
