Falcons Compete At David Henry Valentine Invite
Joseph sets new PR in the 200 meter with time of 23.09 seconds
Boston, Mass. – The Fitchburg State University men's indoor track & field team returned to action this afternoon as the Falcons competed in the 2019 David Henry Valentines Invitational, hoisted by Boston University.

How It Happened
Junior Wilkerson Pierre (Cambridge, Mass.) led the way for the Falcons with a 38th place finish in the triple jump with MASCAC qualifying mark of 12.45 meters, while senior Brendan Courtney (North Attleboro, Mass.) posted a 40th place effort in the shot put with post-season qualifying toss of 11.90 meters
In the 800 meter, freshman Nicholas Sachetta (Billerica, Mass.) and sophomore Timothy Sheehy (Wakefield, R.I.) turned in MASCAC qualifying times of 2:05.48 and 2;08.74, while senior Austin Landress (Winchendon, Mass.) added a post-season qualifying time of 1:08.40 in the 500 meter.
Sophomore Asante Monteiro (Fall River, Mass.) and junior Zachary Joseph (Hyde Park, Mass.) turned in solid times of 22.53 seconds and 23.09 seconds in the 200 meter with Joseph setting a new PR in the process, while senior Joseph Darrigo (Tewksbury, Mass.) and sophomore Joe Weston (Middleton, Mass.) added MASCAC qualifying times of 2:45.69 and 2:55.96 respectively to round out the top Falcon efforts on the afternoon.
