Digman Selected MITK MASCAC Rookie Of The Week

Winchendon, Mass. native earns first weekly accolade of the season

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman Adam Digman (Winchendon, Mass.) was named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Indoor Track Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.

The first-year Falcon receives his first weekly accolade on the year after placing fourth overall in the heptathlon with a DIII New England qualifying total of 4,025 points. Digman finished fourth in the 60 meter dash (7.41), third in the 1000 meter (3:08.46), second in the 60 meter hurdles (8.84), ninth in the high jump (1.67m), fifth in the pole vault (2.64m), eighth in the long jump (5.74m) and second in the shot put (11.80m) at the Reggis Poyau Invite on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State men's indoor track team returns to action on Sunday as they compete in the 2020 Greater Boston Track Club Invitational, hosted by Harvard University, starting at 10:00 AM.
