Bernadeau Named MITK Field Athlete And Rookie Of The Week

North Andover, Mass. native earns first weekly accolade on the year

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman Beau Bernadeau (North Andover, Mass.) was recently selected both Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Indoor Field Athlete and Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

The first-year Falcon placed first overall in the shot put with a DIII New England qualifying toss of 13.98 meters for the Green and Gold at the USATF New England Championships, hosted by Harvard University on Sunday.

The Fitchburg State men's indoor track & field team returns to action this weekend as they compete at the 2019-20 DIII New England Championships, hosted by Springfield College, starting on Friday at 4:00 PM.
