Kwamo Tabbed MASCAC Rookie Of The Week

Auburn, Mass. native collects first weekly accolade of the season 

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman Tyler Kwamo (Auburn, MA.) was recently selected both Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Indoor Track and Field Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday. 

The first-year Falcon notches his first weekly honor of the year after taking top honors in the high jump with a DIII New England qualifying mark of 1.95 meters, while finishing fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 12.62 meters for the Falcons at the 2023 Joe Donahue Games, hosted by Northeastern University at the New Balance Track.

With his mark in the high jump, Kwamo is currently ranked 15th nationally in the event.

The Falcons return to action on Saturday, January 13th as they compete at the 2024 Reggie Poyau Invitational, hosted by Brandeis University.
