Stalters Named MASCAC Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete Of The Week

Norton, Mass. native picks up first weekly honor of the year

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Cameron Stalters (Norton, Mass.) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The fourth-year Falcon set a new meet record with first place toss of 61.34 meters in the javelin to qualify for the 2019 Open New England Championships in the process for the Falcons at the 2019 BSU Bears Track & Field Invitational on Saturday. With that throw, Stalters currently ranks second nationally in the javelin.

The Fitchburg State men's outdoor track and field team returns to action this Saturday as the Falcons travel to Tufts University to compete in the 2019 Tufts Snowflake Classic, starting at 10:00 AM.
