Bourassa Earns MASCAC MOTK Rookie Of The Week Honors
Shirley, Mass. native collects third weekly honor of the year
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman Liam Bourassa (Shirley, Mass.) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Track Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
The first-year Falcon picks up his third accolade on the season after placing second overall in the javelin with a personal best and All-New England qualifying toss of 61.40 meters, while adding a 24th place throw of 37.86 meters in the discus for the Falcons at the 2023 DIII New England Championships this weekend at Springfield College.
The Fitchburg State Men's Outdoor Track and Field team returns to action this weekend as select members compete at the 2023 All-New England Championships, hosted by Northeastern University.
