Ouellette Named MASCAC Cross Country Runner Of The Week

Ashburnham, Mass. native collects first weekly honor of the season

FITCHBURG, Mass. (September 23, 2013) – Junior Eric Ouellette (Ashburnham, Mass.) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week as announced by the league office Sunday evening.

Ouellette collects his first weekly honor of the season after leading the Fitchburg State men’s cross country team at the 2013 UMass Dartmouth Cross Country Invitational this past weekend. At the meet, Ouellette posted an 18th place finish in a field of 210 participants. The third year Falcon completed the 8K layout in an outstanding time of 26:19, giving Fitchburg State a 14th place team finish overall.

The Fitchburg State men’s and women’s cross country teams return to action on Saturday as they compete at the 2013 Worcester City Meet starting at 11 a.m.
