Amaral Named MASCAC & ECAC DIII NE Rookie of the Week

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State men's cross country runner Brian Amaral has been named the rookie of the week by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletics Conference (MASCAC) and the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) for DIII New England Region. 

Amaral paced the Falcons with a 12th place finish out of 255 runners at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational. The first year runner led all MASCAC rookies with a finish time of 25:37.

The cross country team will be back in action on Saturday, September 27 as they travel to the Worcester City Meet at 10:00 am.
