Amaral Tabbed as MASCAC & ECAC Rookie of the Week

WESTFIELD, Mass. – The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) and the ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) has announced its weekly honors for cross country and Fitchburg State's Brian Amaral was named rookie of the week.

This is Amaral's third conference honor of the season and second in a row after being named the top runner and rookie last week, while being his second time this season being named ECAC rookie of the week 

The sophomore rookie led the Falcons with a 13^th place finish on Saturday at the James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State running a 26.37 in the 8k race.

Fitchburg State will be back in action this Friday as they travel to Emmanuel for the Saints Invitational at 4:00pm.
