Hastings Named MASCAC Rookie of the Year

WESTFIELD, Mass. – The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its year-end awards for men's cross country and Fitchburg State freshman Jake Hastings was awarded rookie of the year honors. 

The first-year Falcon placed sixth overall and second within the MASCAC with a time of 27:03 in addition to being awarded MASCAC Rookie of the Year honors for his efforts as the Fitchburg State men's cross country placed sixth overall (third in the MASCAC) at the 2014 MASCAC/New England Alliance Championships at Mount Greylock on Saturday.
