Falcon Pair Earn MASCAC Weekly Accolades

 Hastings named runner of the week; A.Darrigo selected rookie of the week

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Sophomore Jake Hastings was tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) men's cross country Runner of the Week, while freshman Anthony Darrigo earned MASCAC men's cross country Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Hastings earns his first weekly honor of the season placing first overall with a time of 26:31 as the Fitchburg State men's cross country team finished third at the 2015 Saints Invitational, hosted by Emmanuel College on Friday afternoon.

Darrigo collects his third weekly and second consecutive accolade of the 2015 campaign, complete the 7.95K layout with a time of 27:13 to place 11th overall for the Falcons at the 2015 Saints Invite at Franklin Park in Boston on Friday afternoon.

The Fitchburg State men's and women's cross country teams return to action in two weeks, competing in the 2015 MASCAC/Alliance Championship Meet on Saturday, October 31st, hosted by Worcester State University at 12 p.m.
