Darrigo Named MASCAC Men’s Cross Country Runner Of The Week
Tewksbury, Mass. native collects first weekly accolade of the season
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State junior Anthony Darrigo (Tewksbury, Mass./Tewksbury) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Darrigo placed first overall with a time of 27:14.59 over the 8k layout to lead the Green and Gold to a first place finish as Fitchburg State hosted its annual Jim Sheehan Memorial Alumni Invitational on Saturday at the Doyle Conservation Center.
The Fitchburg State men's cross country returns to action on Saturday, September 16th as it completes in the 2017 Corsair Invitational, starting at 11:00 AM.
