Fitchburg State Races At Bantam Invitational
Darrigo and McCall guide Falcons to fourth place finish
Hartford, Conn. – The Fitchburg State University men's cross country was in action this afternoon, placing fourth overall with a total of 117 points at the 2017 Bantam Invitational, hosted by Trinity College.

How It Happened
Fitchburg State junior Joseph Darrigo (Tewksbury, Mass./Tewksbury) led the way for the Falcons with a 15th place time of 17:31.5 over the 5K course, while freshman Jacob Movsessian (New Ipswich, N.H./Mascenic) finished in 19th with a time of 17:48.5
Senior Stephen McCall (Brockton, Mass./Brockton) followed in 32nd place with a time of 18:00.9, while newcomer Timothy Sheehy (Wakefield, Mass./South Kingstown) entered the chute at 18:01.4 in the33rd slot.
Closing out the top seven performers for the Green and Gold were senior Mark Tonelli (Ayer, Mass./Ayer Shirley) (18:11.0), sophomore Brandon DiGregorio (Somerville, Mass./Nashua North) (19:00.3) and freshman Joseph Weston (Middleton, Mass./Mascomomet) (19:40.5).

Trinity College won the meet with a total of 25 points
Senior Austin MacElrevey (Lewes, Del./Cape Henlopen) of the US Merchant Marine Academy placed first overall with a time of 16:51.0.
Fitchburg State placed first overall at last year's Bantam Invitational with a total of 39 points
