Amaral Selected MASCAC Men’s Cross Country Runner Of The Week

Tewksbury, Mass. native collects first weekly accolade on the year

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Brian Amaral (Tewksbury, Mass./Tewksbury)  was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Amaral led the way for the Falcons this weekend, placing 12th overall with a time of 25:48.0 over the 8K layout to help lead Fitchburg State to an eighth place finish at the 2017 UMass Dartmouth Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State men's cross country returns to action on Saturday, September 23rd as it competes in the 2017 Worcester City Meet at Moore State Park in Paxton, Mass. for a meet starting at 10:45 a.m.
