Falcons Soar At Keene State Invite
Fitchburg State places second overall with 54 points
Keene, N.H. – The Fitchburg State University men's cross country team placed second overall at the 2017 Keene State College Invitational this afternoon after totaling 54 points.

How It Happened
The Green and Gold were led this afternoon by senior Brian Amaral (Tewksbury, Mass.), who finished third overall with a time of 26:08, while classmate Jake Hastings (Phillipston, Mass.) registered a time of 26:38 to place seventh over the 5M course.
Junior Anthony Darrigo (Tewksbury, Mass.) was next the Falcons, placing ninth with a time of 26:44, while fellow junior Joseph Darrigo (Tewksbury, Mass.) entered the chute with a time of 27:00.
Rounding out the top efforts for Fitchburg State were newcomer Jacob Movsessian (New Ipswich, N.H.) (27:44), junior Stephen McCall (Brockton, Mass.) (28:37) and senior Mark Tonelli (Ayer, Mass.) (28:40).

Brandeis claimed first place by amassing a total of 27 points
Senior Ryan Slender (Amherst, Mass.) of Brandeis University won the meet with a time of 25:46.
