Amaral Tabbed MASCAC Men’s Cross Country Runner Of The Week

Tewksbury, Mass. native picks up third weekly accolade of the season 

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Brian Amaral (Tewksbury, Mass.) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. 

The fourth-year Falcon collects his second straight and third overall weekly honor on the year after finishing 37th overall with a time of 26:05.3 over the 8K layout to lead the Green and Gold to a 20th place finish at the 2017 All-New England Championships at Franklin Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Fitchburg State men's cross country returns to action on Friday, October 13th as it competes in the 2017 Saints Cross Country Invitational, hosted by Emmanuel College at Franklin Park for a meet starting at 4:00 p.m.
