Amaral Named MASCAC Men's Cross Country Runner Of The Week

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Senior Brian Amaral (Tewksbury, Mass.) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

 

The fourth-year Falcon picks up his fifth weekly accolade of the season after placing 14th overall with a time of 25:46.4 over the 8K course at the 2017 NCAA DIII New England Regional Cross Country Championships on Saturday to help lead the Green and Gold to a 12th place team finish, their best finish at the NCAA DIII NE Regional XC Championships in the past 20 years.

 

The Fitchburg State men's cross country team recently concluded its 2017 season this past weekend at the 2017 NCAA DIII New England Regional Cross Country Championships, hosted by the University of Southern Maine on Saturday.​
