Movsessian Named MASCAC MXC Runner Of The Week

New Ipswich, N.H. native earns first weekly honor of the year

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State sophomore Jacob Movsessian (New Ipswich, N.H./Mascenic) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The second-year Falcon collects his first weekly honor of the season afternoon after taking top honors at the 2018 Keene State Cross Country Invitational on Saturday morning with a time of 26:35.9 over the 8K course as Fitchburg State finished second overall at the meet with a total of 48 points.

The Fitchburg State men's cross country team returns to action on Saturday, October 6th as the Falcons compete at both the 2018 James Early Memorial Invite, hosted by Westfield State (10:00 am) as well as competing at the 2018 All-New England Championships at Franklin Park in Boston (11:00 am).
