Flint Tabbed MASCAC MXC Rookie Of The Week

Methuen, Mass. native earns first weekly accolade of the season

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman Samuel Flint (Methuen, Mass.) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.

The first year Falcon collects his first weekly honor of the year after placing 16th overall with time of 27:37 over the 8K layout as Fitchburg State hosted its annual Jim Sheehan Memorial Alumni Invitational on Saturday at the Doyle Conservation Center.

The Fitchburg State men's cross country team returns to action next Saturday, September 21 as they complete at the 2019 Corsair Cross Country Invite, hosted by UMass Dartmouth, starting at 11:00 AM.
