Manyok Sweeps MXC Weekly Accolades For Fifth Time

Lynn, Mass. native collects fifth weekly honor of the season 

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State sophomore Taban Manyok (Lynn, Mass.) was recently named both Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Runner & Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday for the fifth time.

The first-year Falcon continued his outstanding 2021 season after capturing the MASCAC Men's Cross Country individual championship, placing first over at the MASCAC Championship meet with a time of 26:07.14 over the 8k course to lead the Fitchburg State men's cross country team to a second place finish with a total of 53 points.

For his efforts, Manyok was named both MASCAC Runner and Rookie of the Year, while also being selected to the 2021 MASCAC Men's Cross Country All-Conference Team.

The Fitchburg State Men's Cross Country team returns to action next Saturday, November 13th as select members will compete at the 2021 DIII New England Regional Championships at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. at a time to be determined.
