Falcons Race at UMass Dartmouth Invitational

 

North Dartmouth, Mass. – The Fitchburg State men's cross country team placed twenty-eighth at the UMass Dartmouth Cross Country Invitational. Teams across NCAA Division I, II, and III participated in the event.

How It Happened

  • Junior Taban Manyok (Lynn, Mass.) paced the Falcons with a time of 26:12.12, finishing first for Fitchburg State and 47th place overall.
  • Sophomore Aidan Cattelan (West Hartford, Conn.) finished second for the Green and Gold with a time of 29:20.18, while first-year Michael Burns (Worcester, Mass.) finished next at 29:40.28.
  • Senior Cameron Davis (Gardner, Mass.) and senior Tyssen LaBombard (Shelburne Falls, Mass.) rounded out the scoring for Fitchburg State with times of 29:53.71 and 32:32.79, respectively.

By the Numbers

  • Freshman Brady Madigan (Ayer, Mass.), 33:25.79
  • Freshman Omar Elmi (Worcester, Mass.), 35:51.39
  • UMass Lowell won the meet with a total of 65 points. Connecticut College finished in second (115 points), while Franklin Pierce rounded out the top three (127 points).
